Horstmann Campaign Desk
Campaign desks were used by military officers and their staffs during military campaigns and were, typically, the private property of the officer. This desk was custom designed and constructed by Charlotte Horstmann, the legendary Hong Kong antiques dealer and furniture maker, circa 1950s to 70s. German by birth, Charlotte grew up in Beijing, China and often modeled her designs after the modernistic styles of the Ming period. This desk is made of fine-grained wood with a black leather top and brass fittings. It rests on portable tripod legs and measures 64 inches by 30 inches. Included is a Horstmann fold-up chair made for the desk in need of a replacement leather seat and back. Contact us for in store availability. Customer arranges shipping or freight.
